family read night

Letter Friends books had the opportunity to visit a sweet little school in Pelham, Tennessee for “Family Read Night.” Go Pelham Tigers! They all made us feel very welcomed and thought we were famous since we wrote a few books. All the hugs were so nice.

One third-grade girl had already read our “Don’t Chicken Out” book and wrote us a nice letter. See below.

We had fun talking and reading our books to the children. Of course, I had to wear my chicken hat.

Mrs. Claudia Gifford asked for a couple of volunteers to demonstrate how she does the illustrations for our books. She has been drawing Letter Friends for over 30 years. She did the covers for “My Journal Create, Love, Write” ( in navy, pink, and white), the cover for “Don’t Chicken Out”, and the cover and illustrations for our newest book “A Book about Virtues Letter Friends." Mrs. Gifford is also busy working on our next book about emotions. We will keep you posted on the progress of our latest book.
