Claudia Gifford was born in Nashville, Tennessee and she is a member of the Arts Council of Williamson County. Claudia received a B.S. degree in interior design from the University of Tennessee. She later returned to college to obtain a degree in nursing. She worked as an RN at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt for 20 years.
Claudia now works doing commissioned paintings and enjoys art shows for local charities. She has painted her whimsical letter shaped characters for over 30 years and has been inspired to use them in Letter Friends Books.
When Claudia is not in her home studio, she loves to spend time with her family and grandchildren. She also enjoys hiking, kayaking, traveling, and volunteering. Claudia lives in Franklin, Tennessee with her husband John.

Deborah Pool is a mother and grandmother from Franklin, Tennessee. She is an active member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators. Deborah is a published children’s book author.
Now as a grandmother of nine precious grandchildren, the importance of virtues has weighed heavy on her heart. Her 40 years in pediatric dentistry and working with children in her church have confirmed this importance.
Deborah and her husband, Gary, enjoy traveling in the United States and more exotic locations, hosting guests, hiking, and photography.
