A Book about Virtues LETTER FRIENDS

We are two grandmothers who want to pass down life-long lessons to children and grandchildren everywhere. So we created ‘A Book about Virtues LETTER FRIENDS’!

This book is designed to start conversations with children of any age in a fun and positive way. Each virtue starts with a letter of the alphabet, a child friendly definition, and a creative example using our Letter Friends in colorful alphabet art.

Follow the path in the book to find the virtues and how the Letter Friends demonstrate them.

Our mission is to remind us all, young and old, to incorporate these virtues into our everyday lives. Just a little appreciation, forgiveness and love can change our world.

DON’T CHICKEN OUT

In today’s fast-paced, technology-driven society a 10-year-old named Mason finds the simplicity of raising chickens in his backyard rewarding. Mason’s story begins when he finds his mother’s 4-H guide and a book on chickens in his grandparents’ dusty old farm building. Secretly reading the books in bed one night he decides 4-H is for him.

After Mason convinces his parents he is responsible and will do what it takes in 4-H, he has some trouble with the various 4-H activities, as he attempts to try things he’s never done before. He has to navigate several obstacles, including a sibling who wants to have his fingers in everything his big brother is doing.

Finally, Mason’s dream of having chickens comes true. But once the baby chicks arrive there are new challenges that the whole family takes on together. Can Mason handle the unexpected? Will he be able to find time for friends, sports and other activities? Will he see the importance of family even with a pesky younger brother in the mix? Let’s see if you can pick out what is learned along the way!
