Wow, February has been exciting for Letter Friends books. We had the opportunity to do 6- 45 minute Author / Illustrator presentations for grades K - 5th. Winstead Elementary School in Franklin, Tennessee was kind enough to host us.

• our slide presentation included a little background on us

• how to write and publish a book

• with a couple of volunteers -demonstrated how the illustrations for our books were created

• and how books are printed

The children enjoyed seeing the large printing machines and a sample sheet of paper with our pages before the printer cuts it to produce a book.

We read “A book about Virtues Letter Friends” and had great participation from the students. They were very observant noticing how the animals participated in the virtue and our characters that formed our Letter Friends.

Our question-and-answer time was great fun. Lots of good questions were asked. They all wanted to know how did we meet and how old we were? Haha!
